In the EU and beyond, widespread use of solar power will help green our energy. In particular, this could be a reality in most African countries due to the abundance of sunlight. However, solar energy harvesting and storage of power go hand in hand with technological challenges. The EU has invested in innovation to overcome these obstacles and this event will showcase promising EU-funded projects, as well as highlight fruitful technological cooperation between the EU and the African Union.
